FROM: Many Organizations Participating in Rally at WV State Capitol

Right now, solar energy is under threat in West Virginia. But folks across the state are speaking out to protect it, and you can be one of them. On January 20th at 2pm, join us at the State Capitol to support solar.
So, what exactly is being threatened? Net metering is a key policy that ensures solar owners are credited fairly for the solar energy they produce. But monopoly utility companies want to see fair market net metering disappear, so that they can boost their profits.
The West Virginia Public Service Commission is considering whether to keep the current net metering policy, or to weaken it at the expense of future solar owners. By attending the rally on January 20th, you can help us show the Commission (and legislators!) that West Virginians won’t let their energy rights be taken away.
RSVP now, so we know we can count on you. Join in and make a difference!
Rooftop solar is one of the most effective ways West Virginians can lower our energy bills, but only for as long as we can be credited fairly for it. Join us in defending net metering.
I hope to see you in Charleston!
Best regards, Leah Barbor, West Virginia Program Director, Solar United Neighbors (SUN)

JOIN IN ON JANUARY 20th TO SHOW THE ‘PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION’ WHAT IS RIGHT
TO: West Virginia Citizens Across the State, 12/14/23
I have registered, have you? WV-SUN hopes to get a head count before the holidays, as an indicator of who is committed and how many we should plan for.
If you are planning to attend Jan. 20, please register, and let me know if you have done so.
Note that a bus will be leaving from Morgantown to attend this rally, and they have promised a second one if we can fill the first one early. I would love to show that Morgantown can fill two buses, so let’s talk this up.
