1. West Virginia passed another major solar bill this year during the September special session. This bill created two districts where renewable energy can be sold directly to manufacturers.
2. Shortly after the bill passed, Berkshire Hathaway Energy announced a $500 million investment in one of the districts to build an industrial solar site and a titanium manufacturing plant. This means good-paying jobs for West Virginians that otherwise would have passed us over.
3. Solar development means manufacturing jobs for West Virginians. Companies with renewable energy targets can now site in WV.
