VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON BUILDING COMMUNITY ENERGY CODES

Announcement from Energy Efficient WV & Downstream Strategies, March 8, 2021

Free virtual workshop for communities on building energy codes this week!

A new report was released last month from Energy Efficient West Virginia and Morgantown-based consulting firm Downstream Strategies, the WV Energy Code Primer.

Energy codes are widely used building codes that reduce energy use by regulating the design and components of buildings, such as heating and air conditioning systems, ventilation, wall insulation, windows, and lighting.

A free virtual workshop for counties, municipalities, and other interested parties highlighting the findings of the report will be held this week on March 11th at 10–11am. Registration is available here:

If your community is interested in adopting and/or enforcing state energy codes, or you have questions in advance of the workshop, contact Dan Taylor at (304) 521-9865 or dan@eewv.org for assistance.
