Unconventional Shale Gas Drilling Conference

“UNCONVENTIONAL SHALE DRILLING: A FACT-BASED HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC AND POLICY DISCUSSION; WHAT WE KNOW, WHAT WE DON’T KNOW, WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MOVING FORWARD”

I want to alert you to the Unconventional Shale Gas Drilling Conference we are having in Warren, Ohio on April 5 and 6, 2013. I’ve attached our agenda. Our keynote speaker is Deborah Rogers of the Energy Policy Institute. Deborah Rogers is an economist and does an excellent job of dissecting the economic and environmental issues surrounding shale gas drilling. There are several videos of her talks on YouTube. I found this interview especially good, click here.

I apologize for the late notice, but want to let our friends in West Virginia know what we’re doing and share our knowledge and resources. We’ve assembled an impressive slate of speakers as you can see in the conference program.

There are still some seats left if you would like to register here.

A few scholarships are still available, and if you would like to donate to the cause, there’s a paypal button at the bottom of the page.

Our press release can be found here.

Best Wishes, Doug Cornett, FreshWater Accountability Project

Event Date: Friday, April 5, 2013 – 9:00am to Saturday, April 6, 2013 – 5:00pm

Location: Wean Foundation, 147 West Market Street, Warren, Ohio

NOTE:  A related conference on Health Effects is set for the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh this Saturday, April 6th.  See the details here.
