I appreciate this blog very much, but I am curious as to whether you have permission from The Associated Press to use the photograph included with this post of acting Gov. Tomblin. It appears to have been lifted directly from our Charleston Gazette blog, Sustained Outrage (http://blogs.wvgazette.com/watchdog/2011/07/12/tomblin-and-marcellus-attacking-environmental-protection-at-a-press-conference-announcing-new-environmental-protection-rules-on-drilling/). We are an AP member news organization and pay for these photos. Has your blog obtained permission from AP and paid for the rights to this photo? Ken Ward Jr., The Charleston Gazette

Thank you, Ken. The photo has been pulled. I apologize for the impropriety of the use of an AP photo. I am confident it won’t happen again. And btw, I am a big fan of Sustained Outrage.

While many governments do spent too much money on certain environmental issues, I do think there should be a sufficient amount spent to ensure the drinking water is safe.
