Jim Sconyers, the Chair of the West Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club, has responded to the WVDEP’s issuance of gas drilling permits in Chief Logan State park by posting a You Tube video. In this video, Jim discusses the likely impacts of Marcellus shale gas drilling on recreation and tourism in the park. He is concerned, and this editor is also, that all the crown jewels of our state, our public parks, may be threatened by gas development.
